Nomber of credits ECTS 5.0
Language of education Ukrainian
Learning outcomes of course unit

- the postgraduate student must demonstrate the ability to apply modern methods of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis to solve scientific and applied problems in the field of navigation, vessel traffic management and ensuring shipping safety. The applicant must have the skills to search, process and interpret large arrays of navigation data obtained from ship and shore information systems.

- the postgraduate student must be able to justify the choice of artificial intelligence algorithms for the study of navigation processes, forecasting vessel traffic parameters, detecting anomalies in navigation data and supporting decision-making by shipowners. The applicant must be able to develop and evaluate artificial intelligence models taking into account the requirements of accuracy, reliability, cybersecurity and the peculiarities of the functioning of maritime transport systems.

- the postgraduate student must critically evaluate the scientific results and prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in autonomous shipping, intelligent navigation systems and the digital transformation of maritime transport, as well as adhere to the principles of academic integrity, ethics in the use of artificial intelligence and the requirements of international regulatory documents in the field of maritime shipping.
